SlatPlanner launches Embedded Experience App on Procore as part of strategic partnership
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 4, 2019) -- Buildfore, the construction tech startup from healthcare builder Robins & Morton, today announced a new integration with Procore, a leading provider of construction management software. Through Procore’s newly launched Embedded Experience capability, Buildfore’s planning tool, SlatPlanner, is now available as an Embedded App on the Procore App Marketplace.
The SlatPlanner and Procore integration redefines the way lean construction teams plan work on the jobsite that replaces passive, defensive, and ineffective work-planning with an active, collaborative approach that leans on the Last Planner® System. Embedded Experience lets Procore customers, partners and third-party developers create solutions within Procore that embed directly into the Procore user interface.SlatPlanner’s easy-to-understand interface to plan and execute work is now available as an Embedded App allowing users to access the solution without ever having to leave Procore.
“Lean Construction is the real revolution and tech is helping us get there,” Daniel Fahmi Soliman, Co-Founder of Buildfore, said. “With so much work and not enough labor, Lean is the obvious choice to improve production and remove rework. When you want an engaged workforce, to improve safety, and reduce our carbon footprint, Lean is the answer. With SlatPlanner, we help construction companies to be more Lean, whether they know it or not.”
Although the past rate of technology adoption has proved significantly slower in the construction community, recent years have seen an unprecedented demand for tech-centered products, likely due to the rise in efficiency-centered initiatives. SlatPlanner’s original goal was to introduce a first-of-its-kind system that uses physical, plastic “sticky notes” that sync planning data to the cloud. Ultimately, allowing teams to maintain physical collaboration but improve data management and metric tracking. Now, teams regardless of education or training, can create collaborative, accurate, and proactive work plans for their near-term look-ahead or ‘sprint.’
“SlatPlanner helps teams embrace Lean building principles without complex workflows. Embedding SlatPlanner into Procore combines critical project management data with critical project schedules. The combination of these solutions will help transform teams into Lean building experts removing constraints that could slow a project down.”
-Kris Lengieza, Director of Business Development for Procore’s Marketplace said.
